Pictures of Stereoside, One Less Reason, and Vysion at the Princess Theater
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing an out of town show. I was in North Mississippi visiting some family and on the way back, I stopped by an S&M Entertainment show at the Princess Theater in Columbus, MS. First of all, this venue is simply breathtaking.
Taken from their myspace:
The Princess Theater was constructed in 1924. It was the premier place to go to see entertainment in North Mississippi. It began as a vaudeville house and was later used as a movie theater, and a venue for plays and other live entertainment. As a music venue, it has hosted such acts as the Allman Brothers and Eddie Money.
Our local boys, Joshua Sun, opened the show but unfortunately I didn’t make it out there in time to watch them perform. The locals there had nothing but great things to say about them so I hope this turns into a new venue to see them at in the future.
Stereoside was on stage when we walked in the door. I heard them start into their hit, Sinner, so I hurried up and made my way to the stage to catch the last song of their set. I just love the way these guys perform on stage. I felt like I was at a huge concert and these guys were performing in front of 100,000 people.
One Less Reason put on a great show as well. I didn’t pay much attention because I was too busy checking out this “supposedly” haunted venue. I was snapping pictures of everything because I wanted to catch a ghost in a masturbatory act.
Vysion….ahhh…Vysion was last……Wow, these guys just got back from recording their next album in Orlando, Fl. You could tell they were ready to perform in front of their home crowd. Jon was able to get Jeff (Stereoside) and Malcom (Joshus Sun) on stage to sing Drowning Pool’s “Bodies”. The crowd loved it. There is nothing like seeing Captain Black Sparrow in action on the mic.
I’m tired. The pictures from the show are up. Check them out. Bands from the gulf coast region should contact Vysion about some future shows at this great venue. S&M Entertainment will be bookings some awesome shows at the Princess Theater in the very near future.

The Pawnshop Roses
I want to introduce you guys to a band out of Philadephia that I am really starting to get into.
The Pawnshop Roses have been playing their brand of Americana rock in the Philadelphia area's top venues for the past few years. In December, they got some national attention when they won the YouTube Underground Contest for Best Live Video and appeared on Good Morning America. Following the YouTube win, the band signed to Earvolution Records and hit the studio.
Their first full length record "Let it Roll" is an Americana rock gem produced by Pete Donnelly of the Figgs (Amos Lee/G-Love/Graham Parker) with a couple song co-arrangements by noted alt-country artist Tom Gillam. Donnelly adds some vocal, guitar and bass backing on a few tracks while Jonn Savannah (Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Squeeze) sits in for piano on a two tracks as well. The record is being distributed by Home Grown Distribution and is available on all electronic outlets including iTunes. The band has quickly jumped into Home Grown's top seller list alongside established acts like Spearhead, Phish, Derek Trucks, Xavier Rudd and more.

Virus Attacks MP3s
A new virus has popped up that will delete all of the mp3s on your computer. I wonder if the RIAA hired someone to write this? This would really suck if you got hit with it. At least I have most of my music on an Ipod.
